I have long brown curly hair and I need a 50's hairstyle.?

I'm doing a performance of "Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney, and our director split us up into different age groups. I was picked to be the 1950's Melissa.

I need to find a hairstyle that looks 1950s, but my hair is long brown and very curly.

I'd prefer not to cut my hair if I can, and I don't know if a standard ponytail would work with my curly hair.

Any suggestions?

or put ur hair in rollers and put it on medium for 30 minutes. It totally will make you look like your from the 50's!
