I have hair down to my waist and every guy I have been with has stroked my head and told me how beautiful my hair is... BUT... I am so tired of long hair and I am thinking of cutting it. I do not want a serious relationship and like to flirt alot, so would this be a bad think to cut it short?

All the guys I know prefer long hair, ie longer than shoulders to about midback. You can definitely cut several inches off your hair to make it more manageable while still keeping it long. Or cut alot off while still not having a boy cut. Mine is to my belly button, and I keep it managable with lots of layers!

Though if your considering cutting off alot of length, do consider locks of love, they take long cut hair and makes them into wigs for cancer patients. I think you have to cut off at least 6 inches, though it might have changed to 10. Just ask whoever cuts your hair about it!

I cut my waist length hair of when I was 15. I chopped it off to my shoulders. The best thing about it was nobody recognized me and where asking about that cute new girl with the brown short hair. If you feel comfortable changing it, do it. Make sure you do your homework on what stylist to use. You are going to want someone who has knowledge on today's hairstyles and has great communication. Check on the internet and get a haircut magazine to check out all of the styles and see what you may want. Also, get a whole makeover, try new makeup and maybe a new style. I wish you luck, and I bet you $20 all the guys that you know or may be crushing on will take a look at the fresh new you and go nuts for the new girl with the short hair.

This is entirely predicated on individual tastes.

I for one do not care. As long as the cut/style work to enhance the person wearing it, I believe that length makes very little difference...by working with a stylist who is going to find an appropriate style, I'm sure that you'll look great with short hair or long hair.

Well my hair was a lil past my waist and guess what? I cut it. boy do i regret EVER cutting my hair. I mean if ur hair gets to long to where u cant STAND IT then cut it. but if u can take care of it and u like it keep it. dont make the same mistake i did by cutting. boy i was so stupid.

It is my considered opinion that MOST men prefer long hair. I myself like long hair - the longer the better. However, it is true that short hair can look good too.

What really attracts men is HEALTHY hair. Shine, body, style, and a stunning woman wearing it will catch any man's eye.

I would suggest looking online for longer hairstyles that might appeal to you...Long hair is really a lot more versatile than most women think. There are hundreds of up-styles that can be created from longer hair whereas most short styles are limited to a few variations.

If you are determined to cut your hair, may I suggest a layered style that preserves the length and gives you a new look.

No matter what you decide it is your head. Do with it what you will and most importantly do what makes you happy.
