I have REAALLY long hair and i want to cut it next month. What should I do with it after i cut it?

I have heard that lock of Love is not a reputable charity, and that they already have a warehouse full of hair, and that they sell their hair to product companies to test products. I don't want my hair to go to waste, so i was thinking about cutting it and selling it (and of course then donating the money to Susan B. Komen foundation or something) im wondering which route would be the best way to go, and which way would help others the most.

i suggest not cutting it, i had super long hair and cut it to my shoulders and i totally regretted it!! but since you want to use the cut hair for a good cause, you should donate it childrens hospitals, im really not an expert at that kinda stuff, and i dont know how you would do it, but talk to the hospital and see if they'll take it..i have no idea, i've never really donated hair before but i've donated money from fundraisers to childrens hospitals and they were so appreciative. im sure they'd do something with you hair.

I believe that you can contact the American Cancer Society and that they will accept your hair donation, or direct you to a reputable charity that will make wigs for cancer patients that have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. Please consider this donation as it can really assist someones mental state during cancer treatment. And a positive mental state can make vital difference in recovery.
