Take it from me!!! Don't go any shorter than about chin length!! I did and it was along time to walk around with a Afro. I had to straighten it all the time!! and you know how much work that is :o)

I would say a little above your shoulders should be fine. andything higher than that you may get iffy.

Depending on your amount of curl, I would cut it to a little lower than you shoulders, that way it will come up to a couple inches above your shoulders
